Cervical cancer: Causes, Symptoms, Prevention,Treatment

What is Cervical cancer?
cervix is the lower part of the uterus. cancer occur in cervix is known as cervical cancer. 

Causes: 

1. Early age at first intercourse. 
2. Having multiple sexual partners  
3. A male partner with multiple previous sexual partners  
4. Infected with human papilloma virus  
5. Using of oral contraceptives and nicotine for many years 
6. Genital infection 

Symptoms: 

1. Profuse bleeding from the vagina.
2. Pain in lower abdomen. 
3. Pain during intercourse. 
4. Abnormal vaginal discharge Prevention

Prevention:  

1. Avoid multiple sexual partners  
2. Avoid unprotected sexual intercourse  
3. Undergo regular pap test (pap test is the screening test for identifying cervical cancer                   

Treatment: 

1. Hysterectomy,
2. Chemotherapy and 
3. Radiation therapy
